- The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract to provide parts, labor, material, preventive maintenance, testing, and emergency call back for the fire alarm system for Bldg. 1001, Fisher House and Bldg. 46 at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida. All other buildings will require annual testing and cleaning of all fire alarms, smoke detectors and duct detectors. Semi-annual testing will be performed on all pull stations and quarterly testing shall be performed on all water flow and tamper switches to meet or exceed NFPA 72 requirements. For emergency call back service, contractor must respond within 8 working hours after notification by VA. NAICS code # 561621 applies to this procurement. All information for this solicitation will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) at www.fbo.gov. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All prospective bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. We anticipate issuing the solicitation on or about September 3, 2008 with a closing date on or about September 15, 2008.
