- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being advertised as a small business set-aside. Fort Campbell, KY has a requirement for a hands-on, defensive driving course, to be conducted at Fort Campbell, KY. Course includes slalom, lane avoidance, lane change no breaking, decreasing radius turns, heavy braking, and high speed hand movement. Class is two days in length; the first day is conducted in sedans and the second day in M998s. Contractor shall supply sedans, Government shall supply M998s. Each two-day class shall accommodate two groups of 12 soldiers for a 6-day total of 72 soldiers. The number of sedans and instructors shall be sufficient to train two groups of 12 soldiers in two days. Scheduled course dates are 29 September 2008 4 October 2008, at Fort Campbell, KY. The dates are firm due to upcoming deployments and scheduling capabilities of Government facilities. The time required by the vendor for pre and post-course set up are outside of the training dates of 29 Sep 4 Oct 08. The applicable NAICS code is 611692 and the small business size standard is $7M in revenue. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Vendors must provide the number of proposed trainers, the tax identification number and Cage Code on quote. Contractors are reminded that Federal contracts may not be transferred without the Governments consent. The evaluation factors will be Technical Capability and Price Reasonableness. Award(s) will be made to the vendor(s) whose proposal is most advantageous to the Government.
