- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army, RDECOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order to Affinity Bio of Santa Barbara, CA 93117. The order involves creating a SMR system to include a PC with monitor and DAQ Software, plus a full license to operate the controller. The purpose of the system will be for Mass Detection using Microchannel Resonators Controller Electronics. This is being sole-sourced to Affinity Bio because they are the company responsible for the development of the SMR system, a broadband device under development and validation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that determines it can meet the requirements may give written notice to the Contract Specialist within five (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Nathan.C.Jordan@us.army.mil. Responses will be evaluated, however, a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This synopsis expires 29 August 2008 at 1000 EST.
