- The Mission & Installation Contracting Center-Leavenworth, 600 Thomas Ave, Fort Leavenworth, KS, 66027 intends to issue a solicitation for Building 198/168 HVAC and Renovations. The NAICS code for this project is 238220. The Place of Contract Performance is Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price with a period of performance of 360 days for the base bid with options. The magnitude of this project is between $5 and $10 million. Building 198 is approximately 70,000 sq. ft. The requirement is as follows: Removal of all Bldg 198 HVAC equipment & piping & controls associated with the existing buildings two pipe fan coil unit cooling and heating system, replacement of Bldg 198 two pipe HVAC system with a new four pipe fan coil system and with four new dedicated 100% outside air systems, upgrade Bldg 198 electrical to 277/480 volts, renovation of Bldg 198 to provide enhanced working environment and address air quality problems, repairs for Bldg 168 eastside and westside porch areas, disconnection of Bldg 168 from Bldg 336 central boiler, and providing heat to Bldg 168 with new localized boiler. HVAC repairs to Bldg 198 include installing new piping and associated components, new DDC controls, associated ductwork and new diffusers, removing the two existing underground piping runs from adjacent building 336 to 198, installing four new piping runs in a new underground piping from adjacent building 336 to 198, and performing a test and balancing on the entire new HVAC system. Incidental to the HVAC repairs is ceiling removal and replacement as required to install new ductwork, interior painting as needed, and installing power to the new fan coil units. Renovation of Bldg 198 includes providing enhanced working environment with centralized restrooms, raising ceiling height, exposing tin ceiling where it exists, small and large conference rooms, flexible office space, training classrooms, communication rooms, and copier rooms. Additionally, electrical and data/phone communications are to be provided for entire building. Building 168 porch area repairs include structural repairs involving replacement of two columns, structural repairs involving 2 window sets, resolving water infiltration problems, and porch area finishes. This requirement is Subject to the Availability of Funds. This procurement was previously synopsized under Pre-solicitation Number W91QF4-08-B-0008.
