- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following:1) 440-500 GHz Mixer - Amplifier/Multiplier Chain (MixAMC) - quantity - 1Specifications: Expected Configuration: x3Amp/x2/x3/SHMRequired LO Input: ~12-14 GHz, 10dBmAvailable IF Band: DC-35GHzExpected Trec: &lt;5,000K (DSB), with IF LNA for 0.65-2.15 GHz2) 530-590GHz Mixer - Amplifier/Multiplier Chain (MixAMC) - quantity - 1Specifications:Expected Configuration: x3Amp/x2/x2/x3/SHMRequired LO Input: ~11-12.5 GHz, 10dBmAvailable IF Band: DC-35GHzExpected Trec: &lt;5,000K (DSB), with IF LNA for 0.65-2.15 GHz3) Diodes for Reliability Study - Ten mixer diode chips to be supplied from the samebatch as used in the above receivers. These will be mounted onto metalized quartzsubstrates for GSFC Reliability Studies. All components to use planar diode technologyand without mechanical tuners.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Virginia Diodes, Inc., pursuant to FAR13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably availablefrom only one source.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeby the response date listed above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluatedsolely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed efforton a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solelywithin the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
