- The VA VISN 22 Network Logistics Office intends to negotiate sole source procurement in accordance with the FAR Part 13 with Barb Access Systems. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is for a Site-Rite Ultrasound system that is designed for vascular access for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. Barb Access Systems is the only ultrasound system that allows Sherlock II Tip Location System integration and allows imaging at multiple depths from skin to the 6cm depth for deeper needle guidance. Additionally, the Ultra Sound System is the only system that has buttons on the probe that allow maximum control from within the sterile field. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all quotes received by 12:00 PM, September 5, 2008. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
