- This notice is being prepared in accordance with FAR Part 5.203(a), and supplemented with additional information in this notice. The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 7, Alaska, intends to award a sole-source procurement to the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States (ARCUS) for the procurement of logistical support for a meeting to be held November 2008 in Fairbanks, Alaska. The basis of the proposed award shall be the vendor facilitating logistical support to arrange for a meeting workshop and provide all audio-visual needs, web pages with informational agenda, participant list, background materials, and meeting products such as finalized findings and suggestions developed during the workshop. The vendor will create a set of workshop web pages, coordinate creation and production of participant materials and briefing books. It is not anticipated that further competition will result in more favorable pricing for this requirement. The vendor has demonstrated past performance in the specific areas required for this procurement with other agencies and has several years experience working with parties and agencies who will attend the response workshop. As this requirement is considered a commercial item, with only one source identified who can provide all services, requirements, labor, and all that is necessary, award is anticipated to be made within 10 days following the posting of this announcement following procedures set forth at FAR Part 12.
