- Consumable Supplies for a Roche Genome Sequencer Solicitation No. 2008-4431-021 The USDA, ARS, Mid South Area, is seeking to SOLE SOURE procure Consumable Supplies for a Genome Sequencer FLX Instrument from Roche Applied Sciences for its Stoneville, MS location. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2008-4431-021 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: SPECIFICATIONS: Procurement of kits and supplies for the operation on a Roche GS FLX DNA sequencer. Said kits are for the generation of long DNA reads of average length of at least 400bp per run and up to ~1,250,000 reads per run. •1. 05 233 542 001 GS TITANIUM LV EMPCR KIT (LIB-L) EMPCR KIT FOR THE 2-REGION 70X75 PTP, POLYMERASE INCLUDED. For the generation of emulsion PCRs on proprietary beads used on the picotiter plates. •2. 05 233 682 001 GS TITANIUM PICOTITER PLATE KIT 70X75. To hold and to separate the beads and sequencing mix at the proper distance and to act as a reservoir for the 1,250,000 sequencing reactions. •3. 05 233 526 001 GS TITANIUM SEQUENCING KIT XLR70 (200 CYCLE-70X75) FOR USE WITH THE GS TITANIUM PICOTITERPLATE 70X75. Solutions necessary for the sequencing reactions that take place on the GS FLX. •4. 05 233 658 001 GS TITANIUM EMPCR BREAKING KITS LV, 12 pc. For breaking emulsion PCR reactions for bead recovery. •5. 05 233 615 001 GS TITANIUM SV EMPCR KIT (LIB-L) EMPCR KIT FOR THE 4-8-16-REGION 70X75 PTP, POLYMERASE INCLUDED. For the generation of multiple small emulsion PCRs on proprietary beads used on the picotiter plates. •6. 05 233 674 001 GS TITANIUM EMPCR FILTERS SV 64PC. For breaking multiple small emulsion PCR reactions for bead recovery. These supplies shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the USDA, ARS, located in Stoneville, MS. "This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced.
