- This is a notice of a proposed contract action published to notify potential sources that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN contracting office intends to issue a sole source award to the Twin Cities Health Professionals (TCHP) Education Consortium for the purchase of continuing education and training services of critical care nursing, psychiatry and operating room staff. The TCHP is a consortium of the Twin Cities three public teaching hospitals in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area; Hennepin County, Regions, and the VA Medical Center who are affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. The TCHP facilitates a wide range of activities among the three affiliated hospitals and develops consolidated programs to avoid duplication of efforts and enhance efficiency in health care services, education, and research. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Numbered Note 22 applies. Therefore, this sole source award is being made pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. The VAMC intends to award a firm fixed price contract with an estimated value of $250,000.00.
