- SOLICITATION NUMBER I6400080105 This is a pre-solicitation notice for an Invitation for Bid - Solicitation Number I6400080105, for a contractor to provide all qualified labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation to remove the existing metal roof (approx. 2040 square feet) on the Gale Barn located at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial in Lincoln City, Indiana, and replace with new metal roofing in accordance with the Scope of Work and Specifications which will be included and available in the upcoming solicitation. The Scope of Work also includes, but is not limited to, replacement of damaged rafters, decking strips, and fascia board. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is set aside for EMERGING SMALL BUSINESSES. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238160. The small business size standard is $14.0 million (average annual gross revenue for the last three (3) years). MAGNITUDE OF THIS PROJECT: Less than $25,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: A firm-fixed price contract that requires a lump sum bid. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor shall begin performance within ten (10) calendar days and complete it within thirty (30) calendar days after the Contracting Officer has issued a written Notice to Proceed to the Contractor. PUBLICIZING AND RESPONSE TIME: The solicitation package will be issued on or about August 31, 2008 with a response date of September 12, 2008. Solicitation packages may be obtained via the Internet by accessing the National Business Center (NBC) Opportunities web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. ALL BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN HARD COPY.
