- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written notice will not be issued. Requisition Number W912HZ082808 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns under NAICS Code 314912 (SIC 2394) with a size standard of 500 Employees. The USACE, Engineer Research & Development Center, EL-Aqua Ecology/Invasive Branch has a need for the following: To provide and install a clear, raised rib, polycarbonate covering to an existing structure at the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility. The structure is 35 feet in width and 96 feet in length and constructed of Rounhouse brand components (http://www.rounhouse.com/index.htm). The covering must be capable of being attached to the existing frame. All work shall be performed during normal duty hours 0800-1630 daily. The project shall be completed no later than 26 September 2008. The project location is at the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility, 201 E. Jones Street, Lewisville, TX 75057. FOB Destination, Lewisville, TX. Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose quote is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors must include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. In addition this is subject to the Service Contract Act the following wages rates apply, Wage Determination No.: 2005-2509, Revision No.: 5, Date Of Revision: 05/29/2008. Wages Rates can by obtained at http://www.wdol.gov/sca.aspx#0. Award can only be made to contractors registered in the Central Contractor Registration web page, http://www.ccr.gov.
