Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR parts 12 and 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS A RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF AG-9A73-S-08-9002. Solicitation AG-9A73-S-08-9003 is issued as a request for quotation and is solicited under full and open competition. Submit written quotes (to include pricing for items 001 - 005). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26. The purpose of the Request for Quotations is to provide Laundry Services for the Northern California National Interagency Support Cache (Fire Cache). This contract will be a requirements contract with no minimum guarantee. The volume of work may vary widely because of unpredictable and unknown fire conditions. Estimated award date is September 22, 2008. The agreement period is for two years from the date of award. An annual review will be conducted and at that time, Contractor's will be offered an opportunity to adjust their prices. If a revised rate is not submitted during the period set forth by the Contracting Officer, the prices proposed in the original agreement will remain in effect. EVALUATION INFORMATION: The Government may issue multiple awards from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose quote conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. Quotes in response to this solicitation will be evaluated using the following factors: (i) past performance of contractor, (ii) price. Factors are weighted equally. BASIS OF AWARD: The Government will award an agreement to those quoters offering a reasonable price that is technically acceptable and have acceptable past performance. A nuetral rating will be given to Quoter's with no past performance data. Proposal preparation instructions: The following provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide firm-fixed prices for items 001 - 005. Item 001 - Sleeping Bag/Green Mummy Style Item 002 - Sleeping Bag/Blue Lightweight Item 003 - Shirt, Yellow Nomex Item 004 - Jeans, Green Nomex Item 005 - Blanket, Wool The following clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Excecutive Order Commercial Items. The due date of submission of quotes is September 12, 2008, at 4:30 p.m., local time to the U.S. Forest Service, Northern California Service Center, 6101 Airport Road, Redding, CA 96002, Attn: Jeannie Vaughn, Contracting Officer. Offerors are responsible to comply with this notice and any amendments thereto. Amendments to the RFQ will be published in the same manner as the initial synopsis/solicitation. CCR requirement - Company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system before an award can be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov.
