- Naval Air Warfare Center (Aircraft Division) Patuxent River, MD, intends to issue a modification to contract N00421-05-D-0055 to increase the scope of current effort. The Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract with Defense Technologies, Inc. procures research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) efforts in support of intelligent, autonomous systems for unmanned air vehicles. The intended scope increase will include efforts related to the functionality of the unmanned air systems’ components and command and control stations. Flight testing and the achievement of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification are also included in the intended scope increase. The work described in this synopsis is expected to be ongoing for approximately three to four years. During this period, the contractor is expected to provide monthly electronic status reports in addition to a final report and support regularly scheduled technical interchange meetings. Furthermore, the contractor is also expected to provide written reports detailing the outcome of efforts. The intended Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract modification will be awarded to Defense Technologies, Inc., Two Urban Centre, 4890 West Kennedy Boulevard, Suite 490, Tampa, FL 33609.
