- This notice is to announce that this NSN will be solicited in the near future. This is not a Solicitation / Request for Proposal. The Solicitation / Request for Proposal will be forth coming and will be available via the DSCC Website address (URL) is http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp/. Issue date is on or about 08/25/08, with the Response date on or around 09/30/08. Note: Copies of this solicitation will only be available via the World Wide Web. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The response date referenced above is estimated. Purchase request number is: 0018225867; and NSN is: 5945-00-111-4946. Nomenclature: Relay, Electromagnetic. Authorized QPL sources: Guardian Electric Mfg. Co (73949). Authorized QPL Mil-Spec part number: MS27255-4. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS ITEM DESCRIPTION: RELAY,ELECTROMAGNETIC. This will be a large purchase contract. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. The basic quantity will be for approximately 415 each. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. "Notice to All Contractors: In a final rule contained in the Federal Acquisition Circular 01- 26 (Item I, FAR Case 2002-24) published in the Federal Register on December 20, 2004, the Federal Acquisition Regulation was amended to require offerors to submit representations and certifications electronically via the Business Partner Network. The ORCA can be found at http://orca.bpn.gov. Until ORCA is fully implemented continue to comply with all government instructions and requirements in solicitations and contract awards."
