Description
The Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) will host an industry day for the purposes of conducting market research to determine the availability of an enterprise solution for Marine Corps first responder and training range command and control communications, also known as the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (E-LMR) project. The effort will encompass all Marine Corps Bases, Posts and Stations (BPS) both in the Continental and Outside Continental United States (CONUS and OCONUS). This industry day will be conducted on Sept. 25thand 26th, 2008 in the vicinity of Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. The Marine Corps shall present a synopsis of the acquisition strategy and planned contracting approach for the E-LMR procurement. A read-ahead document containing this information will be provided to registered vendors no less than one week prior to the industry day. Vendors will be provided the opportunity to brief the Government on their capabilities as a prime contractor. Vendors interested in subcontractor opportunities shall identify themselves during registration. All registered vendors will be added to the Governments interested parties list. Copies of the interested parties list will be made available as part of the read ahead package. The time allotted for individual presentations, maximum number of attendees per vendor and ground rules will be determined after registration for the industry day has closed. Specific location, times and other pertinent information will be published via email to registered attendees. Registration for this event shall be via email only. Interested parties shall submit the following information to Mr. Wonderful Williams at wonderful.williams@usmc.mil no later than 2:00pm Eastern on Thursday, Sept 8th, 2008; Business name and address, Point of Contact (email and phone), DUNS/CAGE code, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes, small business status and proposed vendor status (prime contractor or subcontractor). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, Size standard 750 employees. Firms shall indicate their business size based upon NAICS code 334220. Vendors shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with attendance or briefing.
