Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS) is in need of a contractor to assess the ASOC Site in full to determine what needs to be addressed in a prioritized evaluation. Each individual area described (1) Access Road (2) Equipment Base and Covers, (3) Painting (4) Wind Tower and Base (5) Electrical Supply Unit), Hardware Replacement, will have subcategories to be evaluated. The contractor shall provide One (1) Gallon of Color specified White Alkyd and one (1) Gallon of Color specified Orange Alkyd. The Contract shall provide all labor, equipment, permits (if needed), materials, and incidentals necessary to complete the project. There will be fifteen (15) locations. These location sites will be at the following airport locations: Gronton-New London Airport, CT; Hartford-Brainard Airport, CT; Savannah International Airport, GA; Portland International Jetport, ME; Smith Field, NC; Mitchell Field, NC; Atlantic City International Airport, NJ; Niagara Fall International Airport, NY; Clinton County Airport, NY; Watertown International Airport, NY; Grand Strand Airport, SC; Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, VA; and Burlington International Airport, VT. If granted a security clearance will be required for Contractor and all laborers for homeland security reasons for access to site. HOW TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: Solicitation No. WC133W-08-RQ-1071, Paint Rehap for the Automated Surface Observing System for the National Weather Service Eastern Region areas, and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on FedBizOpps (FBO) (www.fbo.gov). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The solicitation will be available for download approximately August 27, 2008. For a copy of the solicitation, please utilize the FedBizOpps' feature "register to receive notification" as well as "register as an interested vendor". Upon release of the solicitation to the FBO for download, vendors who have registered to receive notification should receive an email from the FBO indicating its availability. Each potential vendor is responsible for checking this website often to obtain all current information associated with this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency. The resultant procurement will be a firm fixed-price contract. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238320. The size standard for Small Business is $14 million. The estimated price range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Completion time for this project is three (3) months days after the Notice to Proceed. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
