- Description
- USACE, Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires services to: (1) generate Building Informational Model checking rules directly from government contract specifications markups, (2) demonstrate the application of automatically generated rules against sample Building Information Models, (3) identify required extensions of rule markup tools needed to capture issues not included in the specification markups. The completion date will be no later than six (6) months after award. The Contracts Office intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed-price purchase order to AEC3 UK Ltd under Simplified Acquisition Procedures due to their expertise to (1) automate translation between multiple Building Information Modeling schema including IFC-Express, IFCxml, and XML spreadsheets and (2) define BIM rule checking schema in the context of building code checking. Request for W9132T-08-T-0133 will be issued on or about 8 September 2008 with a closing date on or about 12 September 2008.
