- The United States Army Joint Munitions & Lethality Life Cycle ManagementCommand (JM&L LCMC) Acquisition Center at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 onbehalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS) intends to issue a solicitation for Medium Cannon Caliber (MCC)Engineering, Manufacturing, Design, and Testing Support for the following: 20mm x 102mm, 25mm x 137mm, 30mm x 113mm (Lightweight 30mm), 30mm x 173 mm,and other cannon ammunition in the range of 20mm to 50mm, ammunition components, ammunition packaging and ammunition models. This action is basedon other than full and open competition procedures utilizing the authority of10 U.S.C 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3(a) (2) (i)Industrialmobilization; engineering, development, or research capability; or expertservices. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement through one ormore Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts for a period of five years. Competition will be limited to contractors within the NationalTechnology Industrial Base (NTIB) (U.S. & Canada). The Request for Proposal(RFP) will be available for download approximately 08 September 08. For instructions for downloading the RFP go to http://procnet.pica.army.mil, click on Business Opportunities, click on solicitations, scroll down to W15QKN-08-R-0655, open the notice, and at the bottom of the page clickdownload solicitation. Proposals will be required within thirty (30) days ofthe date of release of the RFP. All information is to be submitted at no costor obligation to the Government.
