- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to qualified small businesses/individuals for the provision of a on-site oral surgeon services. The services will be performed on inmates who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within the secure correctional environment of the Federal Correctional Complex located in Pollock, Louisiana. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible business or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base year and four 12 month option years. The estimated quantity for the base and each option year is: 48 patients per year. It is anticipated that the contractor will be required to perform services at the Federal Correctional Complex 4 to 6 times per year. The solicitation will be available on or about September 4, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations, Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about September 30, 2008. All contractors doing business with the FederalGovernment shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The web-site for registration is www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for the service is 621210. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-based and community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts which they are eligible.
