Description This is a request for a quote for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 and in conjunction with FAR Part 13. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The items will be purchased on a specific make and model basis. The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense-Comptroller has a requirement to RENEW its Check Point router firewall software maintenance and technical support subscription. Purchasing any other manufacturer’s software (except for the identical items with the OUSD-C production environment) will cost the Federal Government a substantial amount of money to replace the established base and the OUSD-C could not expect to recoup the investment through competition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is 08CO230-013. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423430 with a small business size standard of 100 employees. The Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition and Procurement Office, Department of Defense, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington DC 20301-1155 intends to purchase the following items on a specific make and model basis: Enterprise SW Subscription & Std Support (CPES-SS-STANDARD); Quantity (1) (Check Point router firewall software maintenance and technical support subscription) All items will be delivered to: OSD-CIO Depot 621 L North Payne Street Alexandria, VA 22314-1805 Within 15 calendar days after award. THE GOVERNMENT WILL EVALUATE QUOTES AND MAKE A SELECTION BASED ON THE LOWEST PRICED TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE QUOTATION. Quotations are due no later than 10:30 A.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME, TUESDAY AUGUST 26 2008. Quotes shall be submitted electronically via email to: keith.johnson@whs.mil.
