- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO NOTIFY INDUSTRY OF THE USAF INTENT FOR CONTRACT ACTION AND POSSIBLE GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. The USAF 9MXS/CCEP, located at Beale Air Force Base, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing three Phased Array sub-systems for the MAUS V, Mobile Automated Scanners and Ultrasonic Units. REQUIREMENTS: This transducer successfully identifies skin to core unbonds on the Global Hawk left and right wing structures. The standard functions listed below must be present in order to be compatible with support existing equipment: -Transducer Size -.375” x 3.25” -Scanning Rate – Up to 1,000 square feet per hour -Continual Water Supply Any interested parties believing they can meet ALL the standard functions listed above, may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished shall be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government technical representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, to be considered in this sources sought, please provide information regarding performance in recent and relevant contracts, commercial or government, with points of contacts for each. The government will not pay for information submitted in response to this SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis. The information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force.
