- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. Defense Intelligence Agency intends to award a contract on a non-competitive, sole source basis to General Dynamics, C4 Systems, Inc., 77 A St, Needham, MA 02494-2806. The sole source determination is based upon the fact that the equipment is manufactured by General Dynamics and is a controlled item. Acquisition is only allowed from the manufacturer, and not an authorized re-seller, if it is the only component being aquired and not part of a larger system or configuration. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334290, Size standard 750 employees is applicable to this requirement. Small Business Set-Aside does not apply. THis notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest asnd capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposes contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion fo the Government.
