- SOURCES SOUGHT SABER Contract for Altus AFB Oklahoma The purpose of this sources sought notice is to obtain information from capable firms with the ability to perform the SABER (Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements) contract at Altus AFB, Oklahoma. The Government is seeking interested 8(a) certified, HUBZone, and/or Service Disabled Veteran firms who can perform the SABER contract (NAICS Code 236220, Size Standard $31,000,000). SABER is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for real property maintenance, repair, remodel, alteration and minor construction projects to include building, industrial, and commercial work at Altus Air Base, Jackson County, OK and the Sooner Drop Zone (SDZ), in Harmon County, OK. The Sooner Drop Zone is located in T 1 N, R 24 W, Section 11 of Harmon County Oklahoma and is approximately 27 miles west and 6 miles south of Altus Air Force Base. Each delivery order will identify a general scope of work. Work will include tasks in a variety of trades such as carpentry, pavements, roofing, excavation, steam fittings, plumbing, sheet metal, tinning, painting, demolition, masonry, welding, HVAC/R, electrical, electronic, Fire detection/protection, communication, hazardous material abatement, furnishings, specialties, etc. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, plant, tools, transportation, equipment, services and incidentals necessary to complete each delivery order from conception through completion. The contractor shall be capable of performing multiple simultaneous projects. The contract will be awarded with a base period of 1 year and two option years with an estimated contract start date of Dec 08. The Government anticipates that the delivery orders against this contract will range in dollar value from $3K to $1M. The Government estimates the contract will have a total estimated maximum value of between $3M over the 3 year term. The minimum guaranteed amount will be $30K in the base year. The contractor will need to be able to secure bonding of at least $3M. Interested sources should respond by 04 Sept 08 and provide the following: Name of firm, address, phone, fax, email, CAGE code, and website if applicable. The contractor should also provide a listing of any Government or commerical construction contracts held over the last 3 years that are similar in complexity and magnitude to the requirements of this SABER contract. The listing should include a project title dollar value, and project length/performance period.
