- These services are expected to start on 1 January 2009 and consist of a Base Year and three Option Years. This solicitation will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities approximately 22 September 2008. Pickup Service. The contractor shall pickup shipments five days per week excluding Saturday, Sunday and Federal holidays. Depots that require Saturday and Sunday pickup service for dock clearing purposes will be identified in the appendix of the PWS. Hazardous Material. Commodities transported under this contract may include hazardous material (HAZMAT); however, the requirement for transporting hazardous material is not mandatory. Contractor(s) who elect to transport hazardous material (HAZMAT) shall maintain a current HAZMAT certificate at all times.
