Description

The above referenced request for quotation is hereby amended to change the Technical Specification, the Inspection and Acceptance Criteria, and extend the due date for quotes. (1) The following specifications for LINE ITEMS 0001 and 0002 are changed as follows: Specification number 2 for both line items 0001 and 0002 is changed from “1-inch wall thickness” to “1/4-inch wall thickness”. (2) The following is added to the "Inspection and Acceptance Criteria": 3. The sphericity will be checked for adherence to the specifications. Sphericity is the maximum radial difference between any two points on a sphere where the radial deviations are relative to the best fit least squares sphere. NIST will make every effort to perform the verification within 30 days upon receipt of the spheres but may require up to 60 days due to the availability of the equipment to be used for verification. (3) The DUE DATE for quotations is hereby changed FROM: Monday, July 28, 2008, 3:30 PM EST, TO: Monday, August 25, 2008, 3:30 PM EST.
