Description
1) What types of ceilings are in the facility (i.e. hard drywall w/access panel, ceiling tiles, open ceiling)? All interior ceilings are drop ceiling panels suspended below a concrete ceiling. Exterior overhangs are made of a concrete material. 2) Will the contractor be allowed to use the existing cable for the camera upgrades or is it required that we pull new cable? The contractor must pull new cable. Existing cable is not shielded and is does not meet current code requirements. 3) Are all proposed camera locations accessible by ladder or will a lift be needed? I believe all camera locations are accessible by ladder; however, the contractor is welcome to walk the job site to confirm. 4) Is the LCD monitor to be mounted on a wall or sit on a desk? And what size would you prefer? The LCD monitor will sit on a desk. The LCD monitor must be at least 21 inches. 5) Camera 11, is this a pole mount or attached to a building? Camera 11 will be attached to a concrete overhang over a walkway. 6) Camera 11, will we need to trench in order to run our cables or is there existing conduit we can run cable through? There is no need to trench, the camera will be attached to the facility. There is conduit present In the area of camera 11; however, the contractor must contact the Travis AFB Civil Engineers to determine if they can use the conduit. If not, new conduit will need to be installed. 7) Would you consider a DVR Lock Box with the UPS sitting outside rather than a Cabinet with the UPS sitting inside. Yes.
