- The US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Naval Health Research Center, intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Thornhill Research, 200 Elizabeth ST, #7EN242, Toronto, ON, CA for modification, and development and testing of a prototype floor standing mobile LED light with battery backup. The PAXLight(tm) is part of a pre-planned product improvement for Echelon II casualty care applications. Thornhill Research is the manufacturer of the PAXLight(tm) and is the only company able to meet this requirement as they own the patents for this technology. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document.
