Description
*****************Source Sought************************************* IRIDIUM SATELLITE VOICE/DATA SYSTEM FOR AIRBORNE APPLICATIONS The systems shall be certified for fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft installations. Certifications shall include DO-160D compliance and FAA 8130-3. Each transceiver module is to utilize dual Iridium transceivers which operate with a single Iridium antenna and single antenna coax. Each channel in the module must provide full Iridium capability when used for simultaneous voice/voice, voice/data, or data/data transmissions. The system shall provide dial up data service at 2400 bps. For direct dial up service, the transceiver shall function as a modem with full handshaking capability to allow verification of transmission, redial, etc. Direct Internet Data through the Iridium Gateway is also desired. The aircraft installation kit shall include all aircraft installation components including low profile aircraft certified antenna, coax cable, ARINC mounting tray, and other required mounting hardware. The installation kits will be permanently installed in each aircraft which may utilize the Iridium system. The installation kits are to be such that transceiver modules may be easily moved from aircraft to aircraft as needed. To include five install kits for permanent installation in aircraft and three transceiver modules to be shared by aircraft as required. Installation in the aircraft is not required. Installation will be done by Contractor. Full installation, operation, and maintenance documentation is to be provided to allow Contractor to install and operate the systems in full compliance with FAA and FCC regulations. Interested parties are to provide technical data demonstrating capability.
