- Description
- NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Process Improvement,and Project Services Contract. The contractor will be required to perform work for theEngineering Directorate in the following areas:-Process Improvement: Develop approaches and strategies that improve division processesfor Directorate Management and Staff. Review the recommendations and take intoconsiderations Division/Office and Center product and process improvements initiatives toensure consistency with higher Headquarters goals and directions when identifying abest-fit solution. -Project Services: Assist in the development and provide organization of project datathroughout life cycle process for Directorate Projects.The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26.This procurement is an 8(a) set-aside.See Note 1.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541513 and $23M, respectively. All responsible 8(a) sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.The anticipated release date of the Draft RFP is on or about August 22, 2008. Theanticipated release date of the Final RFP is on or about October 10, 2008. NASA/JSC will hold an Industry Day for the Process Improvement and Project ServicesContract on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Gilruth Center, Lonestar Room. The eventwill be held from 9:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. The Government will also hold One-on-One Meetings from 1:30-4:30 on August 20th and 8:30a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 21st in the Gilruth Center, Rio Grande Room. Please reviewAttachment 1 to this synopsis for further information regarding Industry Day andOne-on-One Meetings.An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on ahttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
