- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to procure Expeditionary Multibeam Kits in accordance with the Salient Characteristics to be provided with the solicitation. The contractor is required to provide an initial quantity of four (4) EMK systems operating at 260 kHz and two (2) EMK systems operating at 120 kHz each. Options for the procurement of an additional eight (8) EMK systems operating at 260 kHz and four (4) EMK systems operating at 120 kHz. This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted, full and open competition basis under NAICS 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. This solicitation notice will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation will result in the award of a FFP type contract with a base quantity of six (6) each plus twelve (12) quantity 1 each options. It is the Government’s intent to award a single contract to the offeror providing the best overall value to the government, price and other non-price factors will be considered. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of technical capability, past performance, and price. All contractors submitting bids, proposals or quotes on DOD solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract www.ccr.gov <http://www.ccr.gov/> and Wide Area Work Force at: https://wawf.eb.mil <https://wawf.eb.mil/>. A Request For Quote (RFQ) will be posted on the NECO site at https://www.neco.navy.mil/biz_ops/search_edi.aspx under solicitation number N62306-08-Q-7007 on or around Aug 22, 2008.
