- The Naval Air Systems Command, Aircrew Systems Program Office (PMA-202), intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Tadiran Spectralink, Ltd 29, Hamerkava Street P.O. Box 150, Holon 58101, ISRAEL, for a three-year production procurement (one base year and two one-year options) of AN/URT-140 RADIO Beacon Set, Part Number 2155-0908300 for domestic and foreign military sales (FMS) for the fiscal years (FY) 2009 through 2011. The FY09 through FY11 procurement requirements include up to approximately 1,000 AN/URT-140 Radio Beacon Sets and FMS variants, inclusive of options and associated equipment; a Standard Commercial Warranty, engineering technical support; integrated logistics support; spare and repair parts; and associated data. The AN/URT-140 is compact, lightweight non-combat radio beacon set that is capable of transmitting distress information at three internationally-recognized SAR frequencies: 121.5 MHz, 243.0 MHz, and 406.025 MHz. The transmission of distress signals at 121.5 and 243.0 MHz, and digital messages at 406.025 MHz facilitates the detection and location of a lost pilot. The FY09 through FY11 procurement will be supported by an organizational to commercial depot maintenance strategy. Tadiran Spectralink is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/URT-140 Radio Beacon Set and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort within the required time frame. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements.
