- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 316th Contracting Squadron, Andrews AFB, Maryland, intends to award a sole source contract with Skandia, Inc., located at 5000 N Hwy 251, Davis Junction, IL, 61020 for a Foam Rubber Pin Saw with Vacuum Board for the 89th Maintenance Group. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed price. The 316th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and award to only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the agency. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted to Anke Taylor, anke.taylor@afncr.af.mil no later than 12:00 PM EST on Friday, 15 August 2008.
