- AMENDMENT NUMBER 001: Response date changed from 13 Aug 08 to 15Aug 08. Responses are due no later than 4:00 PM, 15 Aug 08 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA8604-08-R-7044 is being issued as a request for proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, 12 Jun 08. This is a brand-name-or-equal requirement for Hewlett-Packard (HP) on-site hardware support, EMC premium hardware service, PowerPath software support, and Windows software support. Period of the support is from the date of the resultant order to 30 Sep 08. The 5-page list of the required items is attached to this announcement. Ship to: 88th Communication Group/SCB, Attn: Mr. Gary Grimes, 5337 Cooper Street, Door 1, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5505. All items shall be shipped FOB Destination. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: (1) 52.212-1, Instructions to OfferorsCommercial Items; (2) 52.212-2, EvaluationCommercial Items (Evaluation criteria are, in descending order of importance, technical acceptability of the items offered, past performance, and price. Technical acceptability and past performance, when combined, are more important than price; (3) 52.212-4, Contract Terms and ConditionsCommercial Items; (4) 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive OrdersCommercial Items; (5) DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items; (6) DFARS 252-232-7010, Levies on Contract Payments; and (7) AFAFARS 5352.201-9101Ombudsman. This will be a best value determination, and the Government reserves the right to: (1) award to other than the lowest price offeror; (2) award without discussions; and (3) make no award at all.
