- SCOPE OF WORKFOR POLYTRAUMA TRANSITIONAL REHABILITATION CENTER (PTRC) PROJECT #652-307 The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment and qualified supervision required to build an approximate 22,000 square foot building to house the Polytrauma Transitional Rehabilitation Center on the grounds of the Richmond, Virginia VA Medical Center campus. The project requires site preparation and construction of a building designed to meet LEED criteria. The building will be a 1-story slab on grade structure incorporating office, rehabilitation, service, dormitory and healthcare spaces. All work shall be in performed in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by HDR Architecture, Inc., and be completed in 365 days after the date of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business standard of $31,000,000. The estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.00. The specifications and drawings will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on/about 8/18/08. A date and time for a pre-bid/walkthrough will be stated in the solicitation. The bid opening will be on/about 9/18/08. The deadline for receipt of questions is one week prior to the bid opening. To be qualified to bid on this project, firms must be registered at Central Contract Registry and Vet Biz, prior to award. The Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening. Contract award is contingent on the availability of funds.
