- The United States Government intends to execute a lease agreement for the purposes of providing permanent housing for the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Administration. The leased building is located in Miami, Florida. This location makes it susceptible to flooding at or above the 100-year level. Under the President’s Executive Order 11988, “Floodplain Management”, GSA has reviewed the project for alternative solutions. There were no other practical alternatives to this site within the delineated area that could meet the timeframe of this requirement. Local, State and Federal agencies have been contacted for input into the analysis of this project. The building has been designed to minimize any impacts by utilizing flood protection techniques.
