- Description
- The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) plans to procure the “brand name” NetApp SnapVault software to support the Boyer Data Bunker project. The purchase of the NAS gateway upgrade with licensing will inlude a remote Disk to Disk solution for NetApp Snapshot technology to provide a copy at the Boyer Data Bunker facility, and enhance the IBM NAS gateway devices provided by iGOV for managing NAS data replication. This announcement is considered a “brand name” justification. This acquisition will be conducted utilizing Part 13 of the FAR, Simplified Acquisition procedures, and the test program authorized in FAR subpart 13.5, and the Patent and Trademark Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) among the existing USPTO Information Technology ID/IQ contractors.
