- AMENDMENT TO NOTICE: The magnitude of Construction is changed to read between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA has a requirement to provide and install a new security ceiling system in building 58, first and second floors; to include a high security plank system in all patient bedrooms and a minimum security ceiling system in all dayrooms and corridors. The contractor shall also provide and install new secure lighting fixtures in both high and minimum security areas. All demolition work must be completed with new ceiling systems installed at the end of each work day. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the scope of work, specifications, and requirements currently in effect for Construction Safety as described in U.S. Department of Labor Standards (OSHA 20 CFR 1926), National Fire Protections Association Code (NFPA) and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL). The NAICS Code is 238310. The government estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. The bid documents for Solicitation IFB VA-244-IB-0346 will be available on or about 20 August 2008. There will be a pre-bid meeting and walk through conducted on 29 August 2008 beginning at 10:00 a.m. (local time). All interested bidders are to meet at building 19 South at 10:00 a.m. All request for information must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer by 3:00 p.m. 12 September 2008. Sealed bids are due at the VA Medical Center, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, building 19 South, 542/90C, Coatesville, PA 19320 by 10:00 a.m. on 22 September 2008.
