Description
PROPOSERS’ DAY CONFERENCE DARPA will host a Proposers’ Day Workshop in support of the anticipated Panoptic Analysis of Chemical Traces (PACT) BAA on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Booz Allen Hamilton, 3811 N. Fairfax Drive, 6th Floor, Arlington, VA 22203-1701 from 10 AM to 4 PM. The purposes of this conference are to provide information on the PACT program; promote additional discussion on high throughput chemical analysis of gas mixtures; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities. Attendance is not required to propose to any associated BAA. The Performers’ Day materials will be made available to qualified proposers who are not able to attend the Proposers’ Day. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The objective of the PACT program is to develop high-throughput analysis methods to quantitatively and exhaustively catalog the constituents of complex gas mixtures obtained from strategically important sampling locations. The system will accurately identify and rank the amounts of all components from an established library of materials and quantify the extent to which materials not in the library are present. The amount of each component in the mixtures will range from 50 picomoles to 50 micromoles. PACT will also develop forensic methods to identify the composition of materials and mixtures for which library data are unavailable. The ultimate goal of the program is to develop a capability for comprehensive analysis of up to three hundred thousand samples per day on a routine and cost-effective basis. DARPA-BAA-08-62 is pending release. When released, the BAA will be found on the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than 5 PM EST on August 29, 2008, at the following website: http://www.schafertmd.com/conference/PACT. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Attendees may submit up to 4 PowerPoint slides before the registration deadline for distribution at the Proposers’ Day Workshop. These may not contain classified or proprietary material and must be marked ‘Distribution Unlimited.’ Directions to the facility and other materials are also available on the website. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Attendance will be limited to the first 60 registrants, with no more than 2 representatives per organization due to space limitations in the conference facility. The Proposers’ Day will be unclassified and open to the general public. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all US Citizens are required to submit a US Citizenship Verification form in order to attend this conference. Non-US citizens are required to submit a DARPA Form 60 “Foreign National Visit Request.” The completed Citizenship Form or DARPA Form 60 must be faxed to: Ms. Beverly Sobel, Schafer Corp., fax 703-807-4986 (phone 703-248-1528) no later than August 29, 2008. Both documents are available for download at the registration website.
