- Description
- The U.S. Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with 4G Communications, Inc., under the authority of FAR 19.1406. The action is for an Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to provide WAVE Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) for 112th Signal Battalion requirement to provide the command with a way to bridge current communications systems together and make them interoperable. 4G Communications Inc., 100 Hay St. STE 500, Fayetteville, NC 28301, is the proprietary ower of the software suite and the only known Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) source with the technical capability and certifications to provide this item. FAR 19.1406 -- Sole Source Awards to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB), provides agencies the authority to negotiate exclusively with an SDVOSB when there is only one known SDVOSB with the capabilities the Government requires. However, any other responsible SDVOSB believing itself capable of meeting the requirement may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of meeting the Government's needs. To be considered, any such documentation shall be submitted in writing by 20 August 2008 at 2:00 PM EST. A determination not to compete the proposed contract amongst SDVOSB's based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive SDVOSB procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. The applicable NAICS code is 541512. Interested SDVOSB's who believe they are capable of providing the required equipment should submit their technical documentation in writing to Maj. Robert Law via email at lawr@soc.mil. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded NLT 22 August 2008.
