- Complete solicitation packages may be obtained directly from LDI Printing by calling (770) 939-5277. All charges for solicitation packages are nonrefundable. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. Also you can check the website www.reprodox.net/usps/atlanta. The US Postal Service only accepts proposals from General Contractors. If you are a subcontractor, you will need to go to the website listed above and obtain the offerors list and submit your proposals directly to the General Contractors. This solicitation invites proposals for the construction of a new Land O Lakes, FL - Carrier Annex Post Office facility containing approximately 7,400 sq ft of floor space located on Ehren Road Cutoff. The work includes, but is not limited to, wood frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, shingled roofing, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, painting, lighting, landscaping, electrical, mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Contractors will be evaluated based on references showing similar construction experience. We do not currently own the site. Notice to Proceed with construction will be issued no sooner than 9/30/08. Contractors will be evaluated based on references showing similar construction experience. Reference is made to Clause B-38, Accident Prevention. All construction work on projects must be performed in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. If the USPS is fined for OSHA violations caused by the contractor, the contractor shall pay the fine or reimburse the USPS for the amount of the fine. The subcontracting goals for this contract is a minimum of 10% for minority-owned businesses, a minimum of 40% for small business enterprises, and minimum of 7% for women-owned businesses in accordance with solicitation Section H.20. Participation with women owned businesses and minority owned businesses is encouraged. Minimum Requirements: •Your company must have been in business, under the firm’s present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. •You must have an EMR (Experience Modification Ratio) of less than 1.0. You obtain this from your insurance company. •You must have the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance. Cost range: $1,530,000 - $1,890,000 Const. time: 240 calendar days.
