- Request for Proposals are being sought for LAKE CHELAN SHORELINE EROSION CONTROL, Okanogan & Wenatchee National Forests, Chelan Ranger District, Chelan County, Washington. The purpose of this project is to complete shoreline erosion control treatments at two sites on the north shoreline of Lake Chelan. Construction consists of furnishing and installing special rock embankment, rock steps, large woody debris, erosion control products as well as other incidental items in a variety of configurations. The work is located at two sites on the north shoreline of Lake Chelan. The primary access to these sites is by boat or barge. The lower work site is Site No. 59 – Mitchell Creek located in section 34, Township 29 North, Range 21 East, Willamette Meridian (WM), near the USFS Mitchell Creek campground. The upper work site is Site No. 58 – Deer Point located in Sections 10 and 11, Township 29 N, Range 20 E, WM, near the USFS Deer Point campground. Both sites are boat-in only accessible. The estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is 100% SET ASIDE for HUBZONE Certified firms.
