- Description
- This project consists of demolition of the existing Amphitheater and construction of a new one. Work includes clearing, excavation and borrow import, removal of existing structures and obstructions (electrical, wood benches, etc.), concrete footings for Amphitheater walkways, paving, striping, barriers, benches, site electrical, treated timber boardwalk, signing, mulching and fertilizing. The project is located on the High Sierra Ranger District of the Sierra National Forest. From Clovis, CA proceed Northeast on State Highway 168 approximately 35 miles to the intersection of State Highway 168 and Dinkey Creek Road (County Road M2442, in the community of Shaver Lake, CA). Then proceed East on the Dinkey Creek Road approximately 10 miles to the intersection of the Dinkey Creek Road and Forest Road 11S40 (McKinley Grove Road). Then proceed North on the Dinkey Creek Road approximately 1 mile to the project site. There will be no Pre-Bid tour. The estimated start date is October 2008, with a recommended contract time of 120 days. The estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. NOTE: Because of the transfer of appropriated funds to be used in fire suppression, this acquisition may not be awarded.
