- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service intends to procure brand name leased enterprise storage systems from EMC Corporation or an authorized reseller. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with the attachment included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FAR 13.5 procedures will be used. This is a brand named acquisition, as only the items included in the attachment will meet the Government's requirement. The specified EMC leased solution is essential for the success of the IRS' Tier2 and 3 Storage Infrastructure Achitecture and is required to ensure operational compatibility. The Solicitation number is TIRNO08Q00203. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. The NAICS code is 334112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror of the specified items. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. All offerors must include a completed copy of the provision 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with offer. The clauses 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; 52.212-5, and Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (to include: 52.221-21, 52.221-26, 52.221-35 thru 37, 52.225-13, 52.225-15, 52.232-33) applies to this acquisition.
