- Project Title: Riley Pass Road Maintenance - This project includes road blading, furnishing and installing cattleguards, furnishing and installing culverts, cleaning existing culverts, and furnishing and placing aggregate surfacing as listed. Road #3120 - consists of blading the road and furnishing and placing crushed aggregate surfacing. Cattleguards - This consists of furnishing and installing one 16' cattleguard; including wings and concrete bases, and bypass gate on Road #3130. Installation of the cattleguard also includes furnishing and placing 20 cubic yards of crushed aggregate; attaching existing fence to new cattleguard, constructing a bypass gate; furnishing and installing object markers. The cattleguard shall be installed entirely on National Forest System Lands. This item also consists of furnishing a cattleguard grid with end wings and delivering to the project area near Road #3120 and furnishing additional cattleguard grids, end wings and concrete bases; and delivering all to the Ranger Station compound in Camp Crook, SD. Culverts and Surfacing - This consists of cleaning culvert inlets and outlets, including catchbasins, and installing a standard, green, steel T-Post adjacent to the inlet of each culvert. Also included is the furnishing and placing of crushed aggregate surfacing and the furnishing and installation of new corrugated metal pipe culvert at various locations. Location: The project is located in the North Cave Hills land unit, on the Sioux Ranger District, Custer National Forest, Harding County, South Dakota. No pre-bid tour of the project will be conducted. Prospective bidders wishing to visit the sites on their own may obtain directions from Gary Coats at the Forest Supervisor's Office, Custer National Forest, Billings, Montana, telephone (406) 657-6205, extension 218, or the Sioux District Office at (605) 797-4432. Government estimated price range is $100,000 - $500,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately 22 August 2008 and can be downloaded from this site at that time.
