- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for upgrading the Virology conference room at the US Army Research Institute of Infectious Diseases(USAMRIID)at Fort Detrick, Maryland. This is a 100% small business setaside. The North American Industry Classification is 423620 with a size standard of 100 employees. This requirement will be to provide various pieces of audio visual equipment, installation and programming equipment to be compatible with existing Government equipment and networks. A site visit will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday August 19, 2008. All participants shall meet at BLDG 1425 at 9:45 to sign in, obtain security badges and be escorted to the conference room. Parking is limited at BLDG 1425 so participants may be required to walk from BLDG the nearest parking lot available. Contractors are responsible to adhere to all restricted parking signs and other traffic or security regulations at Fort Detrick. Entry to Fort Detrick requires at least one picture ID and vehicle search prior to obtaining a visitor pass at the main gate entrance on 7th street. Industrial vehicles or Vans must enter through the Old Farm Gate on Rosemount Avenue and may be Xrayed prior to obtaining a visitor pass. All Electronic devices including recording devices, cameras and camera phones will not be permitted for entry at BLDG 1425 and must be left in vehicles. All interested parties must provide an email to the Contracting Officer by August 18, 2008 acknowledging their attendance with a list of company employees attending. The closing date is August 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. All questions concerning this solicitation shall be submitted by 4:00 PM EST on August 21, 2008 to be considered.
