- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). The RFQ number is N00244-08-T-0606. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-26 effective June 12, 2008 and DFARS Change Notice 20080722. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far. The NAICS code is 519139 and the Small Business Standard is 500 employees. This is Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Community of Science Inc., 1629 Thames Street, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21231. This requirement is for Renewal of Annual Subscription as specified in the Statement of Work in the attached hard copy of the solicitation. The anticipated Period of Performance is from August 21, 2008 through August 20, 2009. Authority is granted under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Other Than Full and Open Competition. The attached copy of the solicitation contains a complete statement of work and applicable provisions and clauses. This announcement will close at 12:00am 15 August 2008. Pre-bid inquires shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Claudia Aguzar via e-mail at email address: Claudia.aguzar@navy.mil. Central Contractor Registration (CCR): Contractors must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. All quotes shall include price(s), FOB point, a point of contact, name and phone number, business size, and payment terms. Quotes over 10 pages in total will not be accepted by facsimile. Each response must clearly indicate the capability of the contractor to meet all specifications and requirements of the solicitation. See note 22.
