- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest to compete and perform a firm-fixed price contract and to ensure that there is adequate competition. The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a sources sought/market survey for potential firms to perform whole building commissioning services on the new Paradise Visitor Center at Mount Rainier National Park in the state of Washington. The firm shall have a minimum of five years in commercial commissioning experience. Construction on the 18,000-square-foot building will be complete in late September 2008. The building systems to be commissioned include HVAC, building envelope, fire alarm, fire suppression, security, power, lighting and all associated electrical and other controls. The National Park Service requires the establishment of a baseline commissioning for the visitor center in late September of 2008, to be followed by subsequent evaluations in the winter of 2008-2009, spring of 2009, and summer of 2009.
