- Description
- The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract to reroof the Pylon Building at Kinzua Dam, Pennsylvania. Location of Work. The work is located at the Kinzua Dam, Warren County, Pennsylvania. Description of Work. Work to be performed consists of the replacement of the lower roof on the pylon building. Removal of existing ballast, roofing felt, insulation, vapor barrier felt and roof drain and all flashing; and installing new polyisocyanurate board insulation, roof drain, flashing, vapor barrier, and modified bitumen roofing with pvc reglet. New flashing shall be installed on roof drain. Total removal of all adhered asphalt to concrete surfaces will not be necessary, but the existing surface shall be prepared to a smooth surface, ready for installation of the new roofing. Contract Period. Time to complete the work will be approximately 60 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is set aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned companies. The Request for Proposal will be issued approximately August 7, 2008 on-line only through the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation through this website. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download the solicitation and drawings on or after the above issuance date.
