- Provide all labor and materials in order to repair the spillway gates and hoists at the Allatoona Dam in Cartersville, Georgia. Contractor will clean and repair reusable items, replace broken, deteriorated, and outdated items and provide new items to ensure properly operating hoists. It is anticipated that a Fixed Price contract will be awarded. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average number of employees does not exceed 500 for the past three (3) years under NAICS 332312. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website://www.fedteds.gov and will be available for download on or about August 1, 2008. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeds before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government’s best interest. Solicitation documents will be posted on FedTeds. FedTeds is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeds, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeds. The process to download from FedTeds will be provided with the link. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeds Website (https://www.fedteds.gov) by clicking on the Register with FedTeds Hyperlink. Interested bidders should select the Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process option. The information listed below is required to register. 1. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN). 2. DUNS Number or Cage Code. 3. Telephone Number. 4. E-mail addresses. All questions should be sent by email to Angela Taylor, at angela.j.taylor@sam.usace.army.mil. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information. All notification of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the internet. Therefore, Offerors who have registered are required to review Federal Business Opportunity for any posted changes to the solicitation.
