- This is a notice of intent for the Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center located at 2495 Shreveport Highway in Alexandria, Louisiana 71360, to negotiate, using sole source procurement procedures with Draeger Medical, a large business, to provide service on multiple pieces of in-house Draeger Medical Equipment. The Government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106(b). Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by 4:30 PM (Central Time), August 15, 2008. Such information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All inquiries must be submitted by email to George (Bud) Holman at george.holman@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor will responses be received after 4:30 PM (Central Time), August 15, 2008.
